February 7, 2011  |  ESS UPDATES
Crossbow Polarized Lenses Now Available

ESS is now offering a polarized accessory lens option for its Crossbow™ series eyeshields.

Available in a variety of base configuration kits, the Crossbow series incorporates a range of cutting-edge and proprietary technologies.  The Polarized lens option joins the other currently available replacement/accessory lenses for the eyeshield, which include Clear, Smoke Gray, Hi-Def Yellow, and Hi-Def Copper.  With this addition, Crossbow users can now adapt their kit to accommodate high-glare environments.

All Crossbow replacement lenses include a black nosepiece and a protective flannel sleeve for storage.  Crossbow replacement lenses are compatible with both Crossbow Tri-Tech Fit™ frames and Crossbow Suppressor™ frames (for use with ear cup hearing protection and communications gear).

Crossbow Polarized lenses can be directly viewed and purchased by clicking here.

Note: ESS Polarized Crossbow lenses meet ANSI Z87.1, but not U.S. Mil Spec 31013.

WHAT OTHERS HAVE TO SAY

"Dear ESS, On deployment in 2012, my vehicle was struck with an IED while performing route clearance in Afghanistan. The IED flipped my vehicle, knocking me unconscious and launching my rifle into my face. My cheek, nose, and eye socket were shattered from the impact, but my eye was saved from the ESS Crossbow I was wearing. When I put a pair of Crossbows back on, you can clearly see where I would have lost my eye if I wasn't wearing them." SSG Pronzati
